I've just returned from a quick weekend trip to London. I think I'd forgotten what it's like to be at the center of a massive city, to be walking through a maze of skyscrapers, to be squished shoulder-to-shoulder with strangers, to drown in delicious tastes and loud noises and acrid smells and bright lights. It was a welcome change of pace, but it's also made me happy to be home.
That said, the photo above was taken early in the morning while munching on a Pret sandwich. It's of the Tower Bridge, which is often mistaken to be the London Bridge because it's so much prettier than all the other bridges on the Thames (including the London Bridge itself!).
